Lagunas de Ruidera – Inland Freshwater Sites

Site Overview

The Lagunas de Ruidera are a series of clear karst lakes in Ciudad Real, a peaceful freshwater system used for training, relaxed diving and some cave exploration in designated areas. Calm and scenic, the lakes hold carp and crayfish among submerged karst and vegetation, and the surrounding park adds walking and birdlife. Beginners build skills here while more experienced divers enjoy the unusual geology, and the clear water is good for photography. Ruidera is a favourite Spanish inland escape.
