Regional Diversity
Taiwan offers diving year-round, but the best conditions depend on the region. The peak season for most of Taiwan, including Green Island, Orchid Island, and Kenting, is from May to September when the seas are calmest and visibility is at its peak. The winter months (December to March) can bring stronger winds to the north and east, but offer the unique chance to see hammerhead sharks at Green Island. Xiaoliuqiu is a rare year-round destination with consistently warm water and sheltered sites. The water temperature typically ranges from 24°C in winter to 29°C in summer.
