Scuba Diving Regions in Thailand
From world-class walls to muck diving havens, discover the unique character of each regional cluster.
Regional Diversity
Thailand offers excellent diving year-round, but the best time depends on which coast you visit. The Andaman Sea (Phuket, Krabi, Similans) is at its best from November to April, with the Similan National Park open only during this period. The Gulf of Thailand (Koh Tao, Koh Phangan, Koh Samu) is ideal from March to September, offering a great alternative during the Andaman's monsoon season. Water temperatures are consistently warm, ranging between 27°C and 30°C throughout the year.
Planning Tips
Many regions are seasonally dependent. For Thailand, the best diving conditions are usually spread across different months depending on the archipelago or coast.
