About Arno Atoll

Arno Atoll lies a short boat ride east of Majuro and is renowned for pristine reefs, dramatic outer walls and current-swept passes that rival anywhere in the Pacific. Arno Pass, in both its north and south channels, funnels nutrient-rich water that draws grey reef sharks, whitetips, eagle rays, dogtooth tuna and spinning barracuda tornadoes on thrilling drift dives. The Arno Wall is a steep drop-off clad in huge gorgonians and sea fans, visited by Napoleon wrasse, green turtles and bigeye trevally, with excellent visibility in the open ocean. In the calm lagoon, Langor Island Reef offers shallow coral gardens crowded with giant clams, clownfish and parrotfish, perfect for training and night dives, while scattered WWII Japanese plane and vessel wrecks provide easy coral-encrusted history. Arno is a superb mix of adrenaline and tranquillity just minutes from the capital.

Getting There

Arno is reached by a 30 to 60 minute boat ride from Majuro, or by short Air Marshall Islands hop. Dive boats from the lagoon side reach Arno Pass and the outer wall in 15 to 30 minutes. Most divers base on Majuro and day-trip or stay in a simple island guesthouse.
