About Jaluit Atoll

Jaluit Atoll in the southwest of the Marshall Islands blends layered history with healthy coral gardens and a pristine outer-reef wall. The Jaluit Anchorage holds the remains of 19th-century and WWII-era vessels, including scattered relics of the famous German raider Seeadler and Japanese transport ships, now encrusted with corals and explored from the lagoon side. Jabor Reef offers shallow, abundant macro life such as pipefish, seahorses and nudibranchs, ideal for night dives and training, while Jaluit Wall is a pristine outer-reef drop-off patrolled by grey reef sharks, eagle rays and large schools of jacks above healthy hard-coral gardens. Jaluit is reached by Air Marshall Islands flight to Jabor, giving divers a quieter, more traditional atoll experience than busy Majuro, with easy boat access to every site.

Getting There

Jaluit is reached by Air Marshall Islands flight from Majuro to Jabor, then by boat to the wall and anchorage sites. The lagoon wrecks and coral gardens are a short boat ride from Jabor, while the outer wall requires a longer crossing. Expedition liveaboards also call here.
