Scuba Diving Regions in The Philippines
From world-class walls to muck diving havens, discover the unique character of each regional cluster.
Regional Diversity
The Philippines is a year-round diving destination, but the best conditions are generally found during the dry season from November to May. This period offers the calmest seas and highest visibility. The summer months (March to May) are particularly excellent for calm water and whale shark sightings. Tubbataha Reef is only accessible via liveaboard from mid-March to mid-June. The wet season (June to October) can bring typhoons, though many regions in the central Visayas remain diveable throughout the year. Water temperatures are consistently warm, ranging from 26°C in winter to 30°C in summer.
Planning Tips
Many regions are seasonally dependent. For The Philippines, the best diving conditions are usually spread across different months depending on the archipelago or coast.
