Nha Trang is Vietnam's most established diving destination and the crown jewel of the country's marine conservation efforts. The Hon Mun Marine Protected Area, established as Vietnam's first marine park, encompasses several islands and protects some of the most diverse coral ecosystems in Southeast Asia. The region offers twelve distinct dive sites ranging from the shallow coral gardens of Hon Mun Island, where hard corals and anemonefish thrive, to the dramatic walls of Secret Wall adorned with gorgonians and patrolled by whitetip reef sharks. Hon Mot Island delivers world-class macro diving with seahorses, ghost pipefish, and harlequin shrimp, while Madonna Rock (Hon Rom) provides thrilling swim-throughs frequented by barracuda and napoleon wrasse. Getting There

Nha Trang is easily accessible via Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR), located approximately 30 km south of the city centre, with daily domestic flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as well as some international connections. The Reunification Express railway stops at Nha Trang station, providing scenic coastal travel from both directions. Sleeper buses connect Nha Trang to major cities including Ho Chi Minh City (approximately 6 hours) and Da Lat (approximately 3 hours). Once in Nha Trang, dive sites are reached by boat from the main harbour or from beachfront dive centres along Tran Phu Boulevard. Regular taxis and Grab rides make getting around the city straightforward and affordable.
