About Kosrae

Kosrae is the most pristine of the four FSM states, a single near-circular volcanic island ringed by intact coral reefs, dramatic walls and a spectacular blue hole. The Blue Hole is a vertical shaft plunging past 40 m draped in gorgonians, while Walung Drop-Off and Tafunsak Wall are sheer walls with strong currents, schooling fish, sharks and seasonal mantas and whale sharks. Hiroshi's Point is a coral bommie alive with snapper and jacks, the Wreck of the Pacific Queen is a penetrable artificial wreck, and Yela Ka Forest Reef blends mangrove and reef for unique photography. Lelu Island Wall and Okat Wall offer soft corals and macro life, and Molsron Yap (The Aquarium) is a sheltered lagoon dive ideal for beginners and night dives. Kosrae is uncrowded, healthy and a hidden gem of the Pacific.

Getting There

Kosrae is reached by international flight to Kosrae International Airport (KSA) at Tofol, via Guam and Honolulu with United Airlines and connections through Pohnpei. Dive boats from the south-coast resorts reach the Blue Hole, walls and wreck in 10 to 25 minutes.
