Hap's Reef and the East Agana area offer vibrant coral reef diving and dramatic wall experiences on Guam's eastern coastline. Hap's Reef is a large offshore reef renowned for its prolific coral growth, including massive table acroporas that form extensive underwater landscapes. The reef supports clownfish colonies, moray eels, and passing eagle rays, with occasional manta ray cleaning station activity that draws both the rays and excited divers. Puntan Dos Amantes, known as Two Lovers Point, provides steep underwater cliff faces draped in gorgonians with whitetip reef sharks, sea turtles, and seasonal whale shark sightings from January to April. The eastern coast of Guam is less dived than the western side, providing a more pristine and less crowded underwater experience. The dramatic coastal cliffs above water mirror the underwater topography, creating a visually stunning diving environment. The combination of healthy coral ecosystems, big-animal encounters, and relative exclusivity makes this area appealing to divers seeking a more intimate and pristine diving experience away from the busier western sites.

Hap's Reef & East Agana

Hap's Reef and East Agana are located on Guam's eastern coastline, accessible primarily by boat from operators based in Tumon Bay or Tamuning. The boat ride to Hap's Reef takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes from Tumon. Puntan Dos Amantes is accessible by shore from the Two Lovers Point scenic area, though boat access is more common for organized dives. The eastern coastline is accessible by rental car via Route 3A and cliff-top roads, offering spectacular viewpoints. Some dive operators specialize in eastern coast trips and offer less-crowded alternatives to the popular western sites.
