Regional Diversity
Palau is a year-round diving destination, but the most settled conditions fall in the dry season from November through April, when seas are calm, rainfall is low, and visibility frequently exceeds 30 metres. The wetter, occasionally typhoon-influenced months of July to October can still offer excellent diving, though strong trade winds and heavy rain may briefly reduce visibility in exposed areas. Manta rays can be seen at the German Channel throughout the year, and Jellyfish Lake is swimmable in every month. Liveaboards and day boats from Koror operate continuously, so divers can almost always find a sheltered site regardless of the season.
