Getting There

The Suakin Archipelago is accessed from Suakin port or Port Sudan by liveaboard vessel. Suakin is approximately 60 km south of Port Sudan by road, with a small local airport. The southern reefs extend toward the Eritrean border and are reached by extended liveaboard crossings of 2-3 hours from Suakin. Dar El Gani Reef requires the longest crossing and is only visited on specialised expedition itineraries.
