About Majuro Atoll

Majuro is the capital and gateway atoll of the Marshall Islands, a long curved ribbon of land wrapping a calm central lagoon and opening to the Pacific through current-swept passes. It offers the most accessible diving in the country, ranging from the sharky Kalalin Pass drift and the coral-encrusted Carlson oil-tanker wreck to calm lagoon gardens ideal for training and muck diving. Ajeltake Reef on the ocean side drops as a sloping coral wall thick with hard and soft corals, eagle rays and schooling fish, while Rongrong Reef and Laura Beach Lagoon provide gentle, shallow sites rich in macro life such as seahorses and frogfish. Majuro is the perfect base for divers of every level, with short boat rides, reliable conditions and a genuine island-town atmosphere just minutes from world-class reefs.

Getting There

Majuro is reached by international flight to Marshall Islands International Airport (MAJ), via Honolulu and Guam with United Airlines. Dive boats from Majuro town reach Ajeltake, Kalalin Pass and the lagoon reefs in 10 to 40 minutes, while Arno is a short inter-island boat ride away.
