Regional Diversity
The main diving season in Ireland runs from April to October. During these months, the weather is generally more stable and the sea temperature is most comfortable, ranging from 10°C to 16°C. May and June are often the best months for visibility, while August and September offer the warmest water. Basking sharks are most frequently seen in late spring and early summer.
