Scuba Diving Regions in Tanzania

From world-class walls to muck diving havens, discover the unique character of each regional cluster.

    Regional Diversity

Diving in Tanzania is excellent for most of the year. The best visibility and calmest seas occur from October to February. The 'long rains' from March to May can lead to some runoff and reduced visibility, while the 'short rains' in November and December are usually less disruptive. Water temperatures are consistently warm, ranging from 25°C to 29°C.

    Planning Tips

Many regions are seasonally dependent. For Tanzania, the best diving conditions are usually spread across different months depending on the archipelago or coast.
