Scuba Diving Regions in India
From world-class walls to muck diving havens, discover the unique character of each regional cluster.
Regional Diversity
The prime diving season in India generally runs from October to May, when the seas are calmest and visibility is at its peak. For the Andaman Islands and the west coast (Goa, Netrani), the best conditions are found between November and April. Lakshadweep is best dived from October to mid-May. During the monsoon season (June to September), many diving operations close or are limited due to heavy rainfall and rougher seas. The water temperature remains consistently warm throughout the year, usually ranging between 26°C and 30°C.
Planning Tips
Many regions are seasonally dependent. For India, the best diving conditions are usually spread across different months depending on the archipelago or coast.
