Scuba Diving Regions in Saint Lucia
From world-class walls to muck diving havens, discover the unique character of each regional cluster.
Regional Diversity
Diving in Saint Lucia is excellent year-round, thanks to its tropical maritime climate and the sheltered nature of its best dive sites. The peak diving season is traditionally from December to May during the dry season. During these months, horizontal visibility is at its absolute maximum, and the weather is sunny with pleasant cooling trade winds. The summer and autumn months (June to November) bring warmer water temperatures, reaching a balmy 29°C, though this is also the period of higher humidity and the Atlantic hurricane season. For many, the shoulder months of November and May offer a perfect balance of great diving and fewer tourists. Water temperatures range from a comfortable 26°C in February to 29°C in September, making a 3mm shorty or full suit appropriate throughout the year.
Planning Tips
Many regions are seasonally dependent. For Saint Lucia, the best diving conditions are usually spread across different months depending on the archipelago or coast.
