    Regional Diversity

Diving in French Polynesia is spectacular year-round. The dry season from May to October offers the most pleasant air temperatures and the best visibility, often exceeding 40 meters. The wet season (November to April) is warmer and more humid, but it is also the peak time for seeing manta rays and hammerhead sharks in certain atolls. Humpback whale season is strictly from August to October.
